Local Air Con Experts in Hillarys (6025)

Hillarys is one of Perth’s most sought-after northern coastal suburbs, sitting approximately 20km north of the CBD in the City of Joondalup. Known for Hillarys Boat Harbour, its beaches, and a strong sense of community, the suburb attracts a mix of long-term residents and families who are drawn to its lifestyle appeal and proximity to the coast. The housing stock reflects the suburb’s desirability — Hillarys features a wide variety of property types, from the established brick-and-tile homes of the 1980s and 1990s through to larger, architecturally designed residences and more recent builds on subdivided lots. It’s a suburb where home quality and presentation genuinely matter to residents.

Installing air conditioning in a coastal suburb like Hillarys requires a little more thought than an inland location. The proximity to the ocean means that salt-laden air is a real consideration when it comes to selecting and positioning the outdoor condenser unit. Standard condenser units exposed to persistent salt air can deteriorate significantly faster than those installed further inland, with corrosion affecting the coil, cabinet, and electrical components over time. For homes within close proximity to the beach and marina, we discuss this with homeowners during the quoting process and can recommend units with enhanced corrosion-resistant coatings — available across several of the leading brands we supply — to extend the life of the system and protect your investment. Proper condenser positioning, away from direct onshore winds where possible, also makes a meaningful difference.

Split System Supply & Installation in Hillarys

We manage the entire process from brand and model recommendation through to a finished, tidy installation. For Hillarys homes — many of which are well-presented properties where the aesthetics of the installation matter as much as the performance — we take care with indoor head placement, pipe routing, and condenser positioning to ensure the result looks as good as it functions.

Whether you’re installing a single system in a bedroom, upgrading a whole home, or fitting out a newly renovated property, we’ll tailor the recommendation to your specific floor plan, room sizes, and coastal environment. We supply and install all leading brands including Daikin, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Fujitsu, and Toshiba, and can advise on models with coastal-grade specifications where relevant.

Why Choose Us for Air Conditioning in Hillarys?

Hillarys is a suburb where we install regularly and where we bring specific knowledge of the coastal environment to every job. Understanding how salt air affects condenser longevity, how to position units to minimise corrosion risk, and how to recommend the right specification for a home close to the water are things that genuinely differentiate a considered installation from a standard one. As a family business run directly by Wayne and Glen, you deal with us personally from the first conversation through to the finished install — there are no call centres, no unknown subcontractors, and no gap between what was quoted and what gets delivered.

    Air Con Installation Hillarys

    Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. We install throughout all of Hillarys (postcode 6025), including homes close to the marina, Sorrento Quay, and the beachfront areas. We also cover the neighbouring suburbs of Padbury, Ocean Reef, Duncraig, Craigie, and Sorrento.

It can, and it’s worth taking seriously. Salt-laden coastal air accelerates corrosion on outdoor condenser units, particularly on the aluminium fins of the coil and the steel cabinet. Homes within a few hundred metres of the ocean or marina are most affected. We recommend looking at units with factory-applied corrosion-resistant fin coatings, which are available from several of the brands we supply, and we’ll discuss condenser placement during the quoting process to minimise direct exposure to onshore salt air where possible. This is a worthwhile investment that can significantly extend the working life of your system.

Generally, the sea breeze that Hillarys receives on most summer afternoons and evenings helps moderate temperatures compared to inland suburbs, which means your system won’t need to work as hard during those parts of the day. That said, system sizing should still be based primarily on your room dimensions, ceiling height, insulation, and window orientation — the breeze is a helpful bonus but not a reason to undersize. We calculate the right capacity for each room as part of the quoting process.

Absolutely. We take pride in the finish of our installations across all homes, and in well-presented Hillarys properties this attention to detail is something we’re particularly conscious of. We discuss indoor head placement, pipe routing, and condenser positioning with you before starting, and we work cleanly and carefully throughout. The end result should look like a considered part of your home, not an afterthought.

Standard bedrooms generally suit a 2.5kW unit, with larger master bedrooms needing 3.5kW. Open-plan living and dining areas — common in Hillarys’ more modern and renovated homes — typically require a 6–8kW system, and larger combined spaces may need a 9–10kW unit. We calculate the right capacity for each room individually based on your floor plan.
