Woodlands sits around 7km from the Perth CBD in the City of Stirling, close to Subiaco and the Fremantle train line, with Jackadder Lake and Herdsman Lake nearby. Development started in the 1960s, and a lot of the suburb’s character comes from that era, tree-lined streets named after timber varieties, generous blocks, and original brick homes on quarter-acre lots. What makes Woodlands different from a lot of neighbouring suburbs is how much of that original housing stock has since been renovated or rebuilt, it’s a suburb where you’ll find a 1960s brick home next door to a newer architecturally designed rebuild, often on the same street.

That mix means no two Woodlands jobs look the same. Turns out the "replace an existing unit" job was more difficult than expected.
